Rooted & Grounded

What once was a hobby has now become a calling. I believe deeply that the ability to create is a gift from God, and with that gift comes purpose. My desire is not simply to take photographs, but to testify--quietly and truthfully---of His goodness, His faithfulness, and His presence in every season. Even in sorrow, there is beauty. Even in the ordinary, there is meaning. And in every moment, there is evidence of His hand.

Through Rooted & Grounded Photography, my heart is to capture more than images. I want to preserve stories--the laughter, the connection, the stillness, the unseen depth that makes each life unique. I want my work to feel honest, meaningful, and lasting...the kind of images that don't just document a moment, but allow you to feel it again.

Because life moves quickly, and moments fade--but the stories we hold onto shape us. And if my work can help you hold onto what matters most, while gently pointing back to the One who gave it all meaning... then I know I am exactly where I'm meant to be.

I am first and foremost a wife, a mother of three, and a grandmother--roles that have shaped the way I see the world and taught me to treasure the moments that pass far too quickly. For years, I have also had the privilege of being an elementary teacher, pouring into young hearts and minds, and finding beauty in growth, patience, and the small, meaningful victories of everyday life.

Photography began as a quiet love--a simple desire to notice and preserve the details others might overlook. The way light falls through the trees, the stillness of a morning, the connection between people--these moments stirred something deep within me. But over time, and especially through seasons of deep loss, that love became something much more.

After the death of my parents, I found myself walking through a depth of grief that changed me. In that space, creativity became a place of refuge. Through photography and painting, I began to heal--not by escaping the pain, but by learning to see beauty alongside it. In the stillness behind the lens, I found peace. In creating, I found a way to process, to reflect, and to hold onto what truly matters.
